Open in Google Maps
When are you open?
Wednesday to Sunday - see the opening hours. All sessions are pre-booked, so book a session here.
How long is a session?
50 minutes. Arrive on time, as the session starts and ends on the hour. Your sauna host will be there to meet you.
Where do I park?
Parking details are in your booking confirmation email. If you can walk or cycle, even better.
Is there an age limit?
Yes, sessions are for over-18s only.
Are you open in bad weather?
Yes, we’re open all year round, whatever the weather. Winter is when it gets really cosy, with the lights on in the woods.
Can I bring my dog?
Not yet, but we’re planning to welcome dogs in future. Keep an eye on our newsletter.

Booking

How far ahead can I book?
Up to six weeks ahead, online. All sessions are pre-booked, so we can’t take walk-ins.
Are sessions shared?
Yes. Sessions are shared with a small group of other guests. If you’d rather have the place to yourselves, see private hire below.
What if I’m running late?
Sessions start and finish on the hour, so arriving late cuts into your time. If the next session is quiet, we’ll do our best to let you stay on a bit longer to make up for it.
Can I come on my own?
Of course. Plenty of people do, and it’s just as good solo as with friends.
Can I book for friends?
Yes, book as many places as you need in one go. Each guest has to sign their own waiver, using the link in the booking confirmation email.
Why do I need to sign a waiver?
Every guest signs one before their session, with a few short health questions. It’s quick, and it means your host knows anything they need to before you arrive.
How do I use a gift voucher?
Book a session online as normal and enter the voucher code when you pay.

What to bring

What do I need to bring?
Two towels - one to sit on in the sauna, one to dry off with. Swimwear. A water bottle. Flip flops are handy but not essential.
Is there anywhere to get changed?
Yes. There are changing rooms, lockers, hot and cold showers and a toilet on site.
Is there food and drink?
Bamber & Brown cafe is right next door for coffee and cake after your session. Bring a water bottle, and please don’t drink alcohol before or during a session.

The cold plunge

I’ve never done this before. Is that OK?
Yes. Most people who come haven’t. Your host will show you round and talk you through it, and there’s no right way to do it. Here’s how a session usually goes.
Do I have to go in the cold tub?
No. You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to. The sauna alone is worth the visit. If you want to try the cold, your host can talk you through it.
How cold is it?
Three tubs, each at a different temperature, from properly cold to the natural temperature of the day. The day’s readings are on the board on site. You don’t have to start with the coldest one. Most people work their way down over a few sessions.
Is it safe?
Cold water immersion is safe for most healthy adults. If you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, Raynaud’s, are pregnant, or have any condition that might be affected by cold or heat, speak to your GP before coming. Your sauna host is on site throughout every session. There’s more on what heat and cold do to your body on our science page.

Pricing, groups and work

How much does it cost?
£16 per 50-minute session, pay as you go. Memberships are coming soon. Gift vouchers are available too.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel more than 24 hours before your session and you get a full refund. Cancel within 24 hours and we’ll give you the value back as a gift card to use another time. No-shows aren’t refunded.
Can I book the whole place for a group?
Yes. You can book a whole session privately for friends, a birthday or a team. Email hello@coldbathplunge.com to sort it.
Can a business offer Cold Bath Plunge as an employee benefit?
Yes, and it makes a genuinely good one. Local businesses can offer their staff access to CBP as part of their package - subsidised sessions, a monthly membership allowance, or a corporate account. Email hello@coldbathplunge.com and we’ll work out what suits your team.
Do you work with other businesses or run events?
Yes to both. We’re open to working with local businesses, brands and organisations that are a good fit, and we’re keen to host events on site. If you’ve got an idea, email hello@coldbathplunge.com.
